Today was a more relaxed day after deciding to stay on in Barcelona 1 more night to enjoy the beaches and some food at a place Tom and Bec had recommended.
Our accommodation for the last 2 nights was literally right on the beach in a caravan park called Tres Estrellas.
Mulder's view - terrible :) |
The campsite. The guy is some random Spaniard who jumped in the photo when we asked his friend to take it. Love those European da-da-da-dums! |
First on today’s agenda was a beach run. We took off down the beach out front of the campervan toward the break wall that divided each beach. It wasn’t so far so we decided to go over the wall and run the length of the next beach. Just as we started running again Dave warns me “Look out, that guy’s nude!” Turns out it wasn’t just him – we had stumbled our way upon a nudist beach!
We carried on regardless trying to take in some of the scenery and ignore the rest of it – most were older men YUK!
After a cool off swim back at the family friendly – non nude beach we headed back into Barcelona for a much heard about 7 course Spanish meal overlooking the beach. Problem was we were going off some fairly vague instructions of where the restaurant was. The end result was that we found it after about 2hours of walking – even though i was now a crispy shade of pink – my map sun-shelter didn’t work as well as it had in Zaragoza.

During our walk we found another nudist beach! I have never seen so many penises in my life as I did this day! Sorry no photos L
True to the stories we had heard from Tom and Bec we were served up a 7 course feast complete with a bottle of wine all for 10€ each! A bargain!

The monster FEAST! |

The beach at the Port d Olympic Barcelona |
After 6pm and it is still bright sunshine, not a cloud in the sky. It stays this way until 10pm! |
After 1 last gelati stop we were off home to the Caravan Park to have an early night.
Bye bye Barcelona
Our last French wine -bought in honour of you Sian LOL |
